Cases in Multiple Myeloma: The Role of Oncology Pharmacists on an Interprofessional Team to Improve Patient Care and Outcomes
Target Audience
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of pharmacists involved in the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM).
Statement of Need
The purpose of this activity is to enhance knowledge concerning the treatment of patients with MM.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Evaluate emerging data from clinical trials regarding novel agent–based regimens that provide optimal outcomes and a survival benefit for patients with MM eligible and ineligible for SCT.
- Recommend dose adjustments when necessary based on patient- and disease- associated factors.
- Actively participate in adverse event management strategies for patients with MM receiving novel therapies and regimens.
