Statement of Need
The purpose of this activity is to enhance knowledge concerning the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM).

Target Audience
This activity was developed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:
  • Identify factors affecting the decision of whether to perform stem cell transplantation (SCT) in patients with multiple myeloma (MM)
  • Differentiate between autologous and nonmyeloablative allogeneic SCT for the clinical management of MM
  • Define the current role of SCT with the advent of novel MM therapies
  • Review clinical trial data evaluating the safety and efficacy of SCT in MM

There is no fee for this activity. To receive credit, participants must first take the pretest for this activity. After reading this CE activity in its entirety, participants must complete the posttest and evaluation. The pretest, posttest, and evaluation can be completed online at www.mlicme.org/p09007.html. Upon completion of the evaluation and scoring a 70% or better on the posttest, you will immediately receive your certificate online. If you do not achieve a score of 70% or better on the posttest, you will be asked to take it again. Please retain a copy of the Certificate for your records.
