Statement of Need
The purpose of this activity is to enhance knowledge concerning the treatment of patients with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
Target Audience
This activity was developed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:
- Describe current research findings on the molecular biology of Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM)
- Report the impact of current research findings on the development of new treatment approaches
- Identify recommended agents for the salvage treatment of WM
- Identify the benefits and limitations of newer therapies for patients with WM
