Target Audience
This activity was developed for oncology nurses and pharmacists who wish to enhance their knowledge concerning the treatment of patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC).

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:
  • Review the epidemiology and staging of MBC
  • Describe current, established therapies for MBC
  • Review recent findings on emerging therapies that target intracellular signaling pathways in the treatment of MBC
  • Identify common treatment-related toxicities associated with novel therapies for MBC and discuss appropriate management strategies
