Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:
  • Describe the socioeconomic impact of stroke in the workplace and the greater society
  • Summarize key recommendations for stroke prevention and early stroke intervention from evidence-based clinical practice guidelines
  • Explain the role of these recommendations in ensuring the quality of stroke prevention
  • Compare and contrast the value of implementing value based benefit design to incentivize high-value medications and services for stroke prevention
  • Define the financial implications of value-based benefit design and its relationship to current initiatives for workplace wellness, disease management, pay-for-performance initiatives, and health savings
